Stephanie Phua
Steph is a dedicated Occupational Therapist with 13 years of experience who discovered her passion for working with children early in her career. She enjoys building meaningful connections with the children and families she supports and takes a warm, collaborative, and relationship-based approach to therapy. Steph values the importance of working within a child’s natural environments, whether at home, school, or in the community, and is passionate about helping children build confidence and reach their full potential by working closely with the people who know them best.
Steph is trained in delivering the Sensory Oral Sequential (SOS) approach to feeding. Her areas of interest include supporting the development of fine and gross motor skills, sensory regulation, emotional regulation, daily routines, and providing support to teachers and school staff to help children participate more comfortably in the classroom. Her work is grounded in a neurodivergent-affirming approach that focuses on understanding and supporting each child’s individual strengths and needs.
Outside of work, Steph enjoys exploring Melbourne’s west through its cycling paths, spending time with her son, and is currently completing postgraduate studies in Disability and Inclusion.
