Sonya Nunes
Sonya is a qualified Occupational Therapist with a passion for working with children and supporting them to flourish and thrive. She has experience working with children both as an Occupational Therapist and as a Disability Support Worker.
Sonya particularly enjoys working in early intervention and supporting children with school readiness, fine motor skills, and building daily routines. She takes a play-based, child-centred approach and focuses on creating a safe, supportive environment where children feel understood, confident, and comfortable to learn. She is passionate about integrating each child's interests and strengths into therapy.
Sonya takes a holistic approach to therapy and believes that emotional and sensory regulation is the foundation for all learning. Sonya values working collaboratively with families and educators to ensure therapy is meaningful and transferable to everyday life.
