What draws me to this work.
I enjoy working with children and helping them learn new skills through play and everyday activities. It’s rewarding to see their progress, even in small steps, and to help families make daily life a little easier.
How I think about children.
I believe every child is unique and develops at their own pace, with their own strengths, interests and abilities. I think it’s important to understand each child as an individual and support them in a way that helps them feel safe, comfortable and understood, so they can learn and grow with confidence.
What I’m like in a session.
I’m calm, friendly and patient. I enjoy getting down on the floor, playing with children and following their interests. I take time to listen to parents and work together to find strategies that suit their child and family.
How I set up my space and day.
As a working mum, I understand how busy family routines can be. I like to keep things simple, organised and flexible. I prefer using everyday toys and items during therapy so activities are practical and easy for families to include in their daily lives.
What keeps me regulated.
Life with two young children can be busy! Going for walks, spending time outdoors and having some quiet time help me relax and recharge. I also try to remind myself to slow down when things get overwhelming.
